Stoic came to life during a moment when I felt grounded and steady in my work. As I illustrated this gemsbok, each intentional line became a quiet pause or more like an exercise in patience, presence, and trust in the process. The gold horns emerged as a symbol of resilience and calm strength, reflecting the sense of balance I felt while creating. This piece is less about movement and more about stillness, the kind that settles in when you know you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
